Monarch CEO, Psychiatrist featured on NBC Charlotte Today - May 12

On May 12, Monarch CEO Dr. Peggy Terhune and Monarch psychiatrist Dr. Sharyn Comeau were guests Charlottetodaylogoon NBC's “Charlotte Today” for Mental Health Month.  Click here to view the segment.

Because May is Mental Health Month, the pair shared insight about Monarch's mental health services and tips to help viewers achieve mental wellness.     

Peggy Terhune, Ph.D. is the CEO of Monarch and the Executive Director of The Arc of Stanly. She is an active member of several prominent state committees and has served as an appointee of Gov. Pat McCrory to the N.C. Developmental Disabilities Council and the Medicaid Reform Advisory Group.

Sharyn M. Comeau, M.D. is a pediatric and adult psychiatrist. She has been with Monarch since January after serving as the director of behavioral health at WakeMed in Raleigh. She trained in child psychiatry at Harvard/Massachusetts General Hospital and specializes in treating people of all ages with Autism Spectrum Disorders and mental health challenges.
