Monarch receives Community Connection Grant from local Wells Fargo employees

WellsFargoemployeesDr. Bozman2Monarch was the recent recipient of a Community Connection Grant from the Wells Fargo-Eastland Mall store located at 5648 Central Avenue, Charlotte. The $1,000 award will be used to support the programs and services provided at Monarch's Behavioral Health Office on Executive Center Drive in Charlotte.

“We are extremely grateful that Monarch was selected by the employees of Wells Fargo-Eastland Mall location to be the beneficiary of this generous gift,” said Dr. Alan Bozman, senior clinical director who oversees behavioral health operations at Monarch in Charlotte. “Their kindness to support our efforts to provide behavioral health services to local people with mental illness and substance use disorders is a true testament of the community support the financial institution provides to its neighbors, partners and people in need. We extend our sincerest thanks to Wells Fargo who made this gift possible.”

Annually, Wells Fargo encourages its stores to designate $1,000 to an organization of their choice to demonstrate their commitment to local communities and the people who live there. Chasity Rose, assistant vice WellsFargoChasityRoseAlanBozman2president and store manager of the Wells Fargo-Eastland Mall location, said following extensive research, she and her team selected Monarch because of the organization’s investment in the people it serves.

“Outside of your beliefs in the enrichment of personal development, it was the smallest detail that confirmed why we were going with Monarch,” Rose explained. You guys have a “wish list” of items that are beneficial to your clients. This was the real game changer for us. Although we had a monetary donation to give, this part was very eye opening and not all organizations accept these types of donations. Thank you for your work in the community. I share the information for your organization with my entire East District to provide support and/or share with someone who may need services. Keep up the great work!”

Wells Fargo donated $1.1 billion to nonprofits over the last four years (2011-2014) to support and revitalize communities, help charitable organizations and grow local economies, including more than $281.2 million to 17,100 nonprofits and schools in 2014.

Established in 1958, Monarch is a not-for-profit organization that provides support statewide to thousands of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance abuse challenges. The agency is nationally accredited by The Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL) and certified by The N.C. Department of Health and Human Services as a Critical Access Behavioral Health Agency (CABHA).
