Monarch’s seventh annual golf tournament raises nearly $57,000

Monarch hosted its Seventh Annual Dreams Take Flight Golf Tournament, presented by First Citizens Bank, at Tillery Tradition Country Club in Mt. Gilead on April 24. The event raised nearly $57,000 to benefit the programs and services Monarch provides to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance use disorders. 
Thirty teams from near and far participated to support Monarch and compete for the championship title. The golfers not only played 18 holes, but also had several opportunities to earn bragging rights with a number of contests, including a putting competition. There was also considerable support from numerous individuals, businesses and organizations.
