Monarch, Tim Marburger Honda host Easter egg hunt for students at Stanly County Head Start

Children’s giggles penetrated the air and smiles could be seen for miles during an Easter egg hunt hosted by Easter Egg hunt www2Monarch’s Stanly Industrial Services (SIS) day program, which supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and Tim Marburger Honda in Albemarle.

More than 50 students from the Stanly County Head Start program laughed and played while they searched for colorful eggs during the lunchtime event held on April 2 at SIS on Greenwood Street in Albemarle. In addition to the Easter egg hunt, the children enjoyed face painting, crafts, snacks and prizes.

The initiative helped Monarch to further its goal to foster community relationships and build a bridge of inclusion between people with and without disabilities. Tim Marburger Honda served as a significant partner and co-sponsor of the event.

“We are grateful for the generous support given by Brian Dixon and our partners at Tim Marburger Honda to help Easter Egg hunt www3make this event possible,” said Kerry Stipe, site manager at Monarch’s SIS. “Business and community collaborations, like this one, demonstrate a heartfelt team effort that brought smiles to the faces of dozens of our area children.”

Brian Dixon, general manager at Tim Marburger Honda in Albemarle, agreed.

“It gives us great pleasure to participate with our local organizations. We enjoy giving back to the community that supports us with their local business,” Dixon explained. “This was a great event and Monarch plays an important part in so many lives and we were glad they asked us to participate with the Easter egg hunt. We will continue to give back to our neighbors, friends, and family that support us.”
