N&N: Region 2 and 4 Holiday Happenings

As a combined Community Project this month, residents of homes in Regions 2 and 4 decorated a tree in downtown Southern Pines. The project was part of the town’s Parade of Trees, sponsored by the local business guild. Pictured (l-r) are Richard Smith and Carol Ficther tree decorationafter decorating their tree.

Many people supported in Region 2 Homes have also been volunteering in the hand bell choir to bring the sounds of Christmas to those living in nursing homes. Region 2 residents also had the opportunity to attend a Christmas gala at the Pinehurst Hotel with a visit  from Santa Claus himself!

Monarch Creative Arts & Community Center (MCACC) held a toy drive for children at local day care centers in Southern Pines. Staff from MCACC will be dressing up as Santa to deliver the toys.
