Direct Support Photo Collage2Thank you for your interest in a Direct Support Professional position at Monarch. We believe the approximately 1,000 Direct Support Professionals who hold these positions are among the most important roles within our organization. Direct Support Professionals provide care and work directly with the people we support with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or mental health disorders with the goal of helping people to become integrated within their communities. At Monarch, we support, educate and empower people to choose and achieve what is important to them.

A Direct Support Professional helps people to lead self-directed lives, assist with activities of daily living and encourage community inclusion. They may provide supports to a person at home, work, school, church, etc. Direct Support Professionals serve as advocates for people, in communicating their needs, self-expression and goals.

At Monarch, we provide training, educational and advancement opportunities for Direct Support Professionals through a variety of initiatives, including the Long Term-Services and Supports Leadership Academy, that improve recognition, knowledge and skills. Monarch received the 2014 Moving Mountains Award for its commitment to the professional development of Direct Support Professionals.
