Board of Directors

The Board of Directors consists of community members, family members, and people we support who volunteer their time to govern the organization. Board members meet monthly in board meetings, as well as contribute time on committees and special events, giving unselfishly of their time, talents, and personal funds.

Melinda Rummage

Chair

Melinda Gantt Rummage is a Registered Nurse and Certified Diabetes Educator. She is employed full time at Presbyterian Hospital in their out-patient Diabetes Center. She also works for Stanly Regional Medical Center and Home Care of the Carolina’s in her spare time. She graduated from Albemarle Senior High School and from Mercy School of Nursing in Charlotte, NC.

Melinda has such passion to serve on the Monarch board and Arc of Stanly committee because of her parents Steve and Janice Gantt and her sister Dee Gantt. She says, “My parents and Dee taught me to give 110% to my family, my community, and to my Lord. They taught me how to love and serve others by example. I thank them and honor them by serving Monarch and Arc of Stanly. What a privilege and an honor to serve the Monarch staff and the people they serve!”

Melinda is married to John Michael Rummage and has three sons, Gantt, Max, and Michael. They all serve our country by serving in our armed forces. Gantt and Max serve in the US Air Force and Michael serves in the US Army. She describes her family as her joy and her life. She is an active member of First Assembly Church in Albemarle and serves as Parish Nurse.
